Combat Fan Page Discussion Forum: About the Actors: Pierre Jalbert: Pierre Jalbert and "The Godfather"
By Nancy LionStorm (349hvywpnscrew) on Unrecorded Date:

I've looked around for movies that Pierre Jalbert appears in, and have only been able to find "Concorde - Airport '79" (Only $9.99 at Amazon). He's in the first couple of minutes of the opening scene as the supersonic jet's co-pilot. Dedicated Pierre Jalbert fans will want to add this action/adventure to their COMBAT! cast collection.

But did you also know that Pierre was the assistant sound editor for "The Godfather" (1972)? "TG" gets 9 out of 10 stars by the users of the Internet Movie Database. This movie, which you've may have seen before, is available in both full-screen and wide-screen formats for $24.95 at Amazon.com. So while you enjoy Marlon Brando and Al Pacino rule the NYC crime world, you can keep in mind that Pierre Jalbert was a part of the making of this Hollywood classic. So long from your friendly 349th

Today COMBAT! fan, El Tee, shared the following with the COMBAT! Email Discussion List.

"At Recon 98, Pierre (during his Q&A) said that the opening scenes where the bloodbath is intercut with the christening scenes was his suggestion as film editor - that the 2 events be intercut like that. It certainly made for an interesting & artistic effect. El Tee out"
