The acting between Marsini and Saunders is very good. The viewer can sense the tension as Saunders admits to being "White Rook". At the end when Saunders returns for Marsini, the viewer can really feel the inner struggle of Saunders. Only to have Marsini die in his arms. Real feelings from a combat vet that has seen so much death. This one (the death) was personal to Saunders; as Saunders had to prove something to Marsini. Mannerisms and facial expressions at both these scenes make Vic Morrow really shine as an actor.
