I finally got to see "Bridge at Chalons" the
other day and thought that Lee Marvin's performance was soo good that it 1)stole the show
from Vic Morrow and 2)I had to rewind the tape and
watch the episode two more times, it was the best
guest performance I've seen on the show(not counting Ricardo Montalban's over the top performance in "Gadjo").

I read that Ted Knight was the second-most decorated combat veteran of World War II, earning five battle stars.Only Audie Murphy won more honors in action!

Does anyone know what decorations Ted won, and how he got them? Also, in what other TV shows or movies did he appear as a combat soldier?

Hi Steve.
Can't comment on the awards Ted Knight won but I can say he played a German Officer in an episode. I believe it was "The Volenteer".
