Season Two Episodes (1963-64) of COMBAT! TV Show
(one-line descriptors written by Nancy Durgin)
All the action of season two takes place after the liberation of
Paris. Any attempt to trace historical events in a straight timeline collapses in the
second season of this TV show. Though the war in Europe only lasted a year after D-Day,
the cast of Combat! fought for five years and never battled their way out of
France.
Combat! returned to its 7:30 time slot on ABC. It's competing television shows in
that timeslot were "Marshal Dillon" and the first half of "The Red Skelton
Hour" on CBS, and Mr. Novak on NBC. Combat! was followed at 8:30 by ABC's WWII
comedy "McHale's Navy."
