In 1959, Ted Post directed Jack Hogan in "The Legend of Tom Dooley." He directed a string of action/adventure and cop films for both television and the movies, including "Beneath the Planet of the Apes," "Yuma," "Magnum Force," and "Cagney and Lacey."
